This could be the shortest blog in history...
On August 10th, I will be 34 years old, and will have been unafraid of flying for a little over 12 months. Having overcome said fear (and as a low level but somewhat psychotic 'fadder') I have, after watching Bush Pilots and Top Gun, decided that learning to fly would be cool, great and awesome in equal measure.
Therefore my wife (always up for a laugh) has booked me a discovery day at the South Warwickshire Flying School. For about an hour, I'll head up with an instructor and take control of the aircraft through some basic manoeuvres.
I will either love it and insist that henceforth everyone calls me Maverick as I strive for my license, or I will shit my pants and cry like a little girl before being ridiculed by all and sundry for trying out yet another hobby and then failing/giving up/not liking it...
